I have been actively involved in dog sports since 1997 when I got my first Scottish Terrier and decided that she needed something more to do than eat my shoes. I enrolled in a local club run by a rescue group and attended my first class setting. I loved it! So, for the past twenty six years I have run with four Scotties and three Ceskys in my agility career. In 2005 my Novice A dog was invited to the first Agility Invitational that was held in Long Beach, CA. Since then I’ve had three of my teammates invited to the AKC Agility Invitational and two to the AKC Fast Cat Invitational. With my current two Ceskys, Skyy and Delta, I have ventured, with the help of friends, into the conformation venue. My eight month old, Miles, is a pistol. Yes, I do have “Delta Skyy Miles”.
In 2012, I took the plunge and became an AKC Agility Judge. I have been fortunate enough to travel the US and judge some of the best dogs in the country. Six years ago, I became a NADD (North American Diving Dogs) judge. This is such a fun summer sport.
I have learned so much from watching different teams and different parts of the country. Judging has taken me many places and I’ve gotten to meet and make some wonderful friends.
Family trip and judging agility in beautiful Hawaii..can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday.
Looking forward to meeting and working with all of you.
