Aloha from Judge Darryl Warren
Darryl Warren’s lifelong love of dogs began in childhood, playing and teaching games to the family pets. After graduating high school in Panama City, Florida, he served four years in the U.S. Army, including two years in Germany—his first and only time ever without a dog, which inspired his return to civilian life and his canine passion.
Settling in Pennsylvania, Darryl began competing with his Cocker Spaniels in conformation and obedience, eventually earning titles in the U.S. and Canada. In 1991, he discovered agility with his champion Cocker and never looked back. Since then, he’s trained and trialed Cocker Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, a Lab, and now a mixed breed, earning championships in multiple venues. His Golden, Dixie, finished her last championship just before turning 12.
His current pack includes Golden Abbey (15) and four Aussies: Vader (13), Dicey (13), Devyn (4), and MeiLi (4) . A longtime agility teacher, Darryl founded 3D Dog Training LLC in Wind Gap, PA, and while he no longer teaches full-time, he continues to judge across the U.S.
This event marks Darryl’s first time judging in Hawai‘i—and he’s honored to join the Hawaii Agility Association.
“Mahalo for the warm welcome! It’s an honor to be here. I hope your runs are joyful, your dogs are happy, and your bond shines through. Win or lose—cherish the moment.”
