Where dogs and people come together to play!

AKC Judge Zach Gulaboff Davis

Beginning with my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, PACH Lucy VCD2 RAE2, I’ve been involved in a wide array of dog sports from the age of 10. Since becoming an AKC Agility Judge in 2016, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing teams across the country and abroad bond through our wonderful sport, including as a judge for the 2020 AKC Agility Invitationals, the 2022 Northeast Agility Championship Finals, and as the contact judge for the 2022 Invitational Finals. I have extensive experience judging and designing both traditional AKC as well as ISC/FCI courses, and delight in creating courses that are captivating and enjoyable for both teams and spectators alike.

Aside from judging, I have most recently competed with my Border Collie, Polo CDX RAE2 MX MXJ, a former Rally Obedience High Combined winner at the Border Collie nationals. Over the years, I’ve competed in Agility, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, Junior Showmanship, and 4-H.

Outside of agility, I work in music composition, education, and real  estate investment, having completed a doctorate in music composition and theory from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. A 2023 MacDowell Fellow for Composition, I maintain an active schedule as a composer and collaborator across the globe, collaborating with a plethora of ensembles and performers. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Oregon, I currently reside in Jersey City, New Jersey. Don’t ask me about the (countless) similarities between composing and one of my very favorite activities, course design, unless you have many hours to spare!
